Kerstin Pasterk was born and raised in Vienna. She felt drawn to meditation practices from early age on and was introduced to yoga as a young teenager by family and friends . In her more than 10 years of experience she tried various different styles of yoga and practiced with teachers from Europe, India and the USA. Her experiences reach from dynamic types of yoga like Power Yoga and Vinyasa Flow to relaxed and passive ones like Yin Yoga. Over the past five years now Kerstin devoted herself to the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga method in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and finally feels like she has “come home” in her daily yoga practice. Since 2013 Kerstin regularly teaches classes and workshops in Vienna and tries to convey the key elements of her own yoga practice: physical and mental strength combined with flexibility, ease and compassion – always encouraging her students to take the lessons they learned in their yoga practice beyond the four corners of the yoga mat and into their daily lives!
